Review of Fleig AG

"Not the service I would have expected from a reputable moving company in this price range"

I chose FLEIG for my move because I deliberately wanted to hire an established moving company and was willing to pay a little more for it. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing overall.

Individual employees were friendly and hard-working, but the move seemed poorly organized overall. In the course of the day, the staff changed several times, so that sometimes not the same people put the furniture back together that they had previously dismantled. In my opinion, this led to a loss of information and to several problems during reconstruction. The wardrobe was initially not attached to the wall again as originally done, and the light no longer worked after the reconstruction. The latter was later fixed. A bookshelf was missing stoppers or covers, and scratches also appeared on the wall.

In the case of an antique gold mirror, adhesive tape was glued directly to the gilding, which caused part of the gilding to come loose when removed. A chili fruit was crushed on a white carpet. Individual boxes ended up in the basement instead of in the screed or vice versa.

On the positive side, someone came by later and repaired minor damage. However, the follow-up and communication afterwards were also unsatisfactory: The collection of the moving boxes and clothes boxes remained open for a long time. An announced final meeting on the invoice did not take place at first; instead, months later I received a reminder for the full amount.

After further enquiries, I was finally offered a credit note. After deducting it, essentially the amount of the original offer remained. The additional time charged was at the upper end of the offered range. In my view, the fact that the move took so long was also due to the poor organisation and the additional expenses incurred as a result.

I would not commission FLEIG again based on this experience.
