"the qr code on saturday's ticket that i first scanned at the entrance did not work. the staff on site did not have the means to figure out the reason for it."

Tickets should be named, this would solve the problem of only having to scan the qr code once. probably at the entrance the app scanned 2 times in a row due to some malfunction.
The operators on site should have the data at least of when the qr code was validated to figure out if it is just a technical problem without putting this on the customer who is forced to spend 2 times for something that was not their fault.
