Our mission is the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease

At our medical center, we contribute to the comprehensive and personalized care of patients with kidney disease and their families.

Our activities focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney disease with the goal of preventing its progression to chronic renal failure. The quality of life, both of the patient and his or her entourage, is central to our concerns.

We speak: Italian (mother tongue), Ticino dialect, English, French, German, Chinese, Albanian and Romanian.

Director Nephrocenter Ticino

Specialist FMH in nephrology and internal medicine since 1993, Dr. Ferrier-Guerra received her medical degree from the University of Bern and freelance teaching equivalency (PD) from the University of Melbourne. She is also the holder of the Master's degree in "Economics, Health and Social Health Management" from the University of Lugano. In addition to consultations in specialized medical practices in Lugano and Caslano, she is active in education, lecturing at the University of Bern for medical students and accredited by FMH for training in nephrology.

Dr. Ferrier, former founder of the Dr. Ferrier Sagl Dialysis Center, which she directed and led for 20 years, has long experience in dialysis therapy. He also has close ties with Swiss university centers regarding renal transplantation.

Continuing Education Courses

The Nephrocenter Ticino offers 3 continuing education courses in nephrology annually. They are dedicated to specialist physicians and family physicians and are CME accredited.
