to the Bern Rheumatology Centre at Viktoriaplatz, the joint rheumatology practice of Dr. med. Jürg Suter, Dr. med. Gion Caliezi, Dr. med. Barbara Meyer and Dr. med. Florian Winkler.

Rheumatism (or rheumatism for short) is a collective term for very different diseases of the musculoskeletal system, muscles, tendons, joints, bones or connective tissue. They are usually caused by signs of ageing or wear and tear, injuries or inflammation  Rheumatology includes conditions such as osteoarthritis,  autoimmune diseases, vasculitis or osteoporosis.

At the Bern Rheumatology Center at Viktoriaplatz, the necessary clarifications for diagnosis and the development of a treatment plan are carried out in a detailed patient consultation and physical examination. The practice has comprehensive, modern diagnostic and treatment facilities such as X-ray, laboratory, ultrasound, bone density measuring device (DXA) and infusion therapies. Infiltrations close to the spine are also carried out.

Complex and difficult clinical pictures are regularly discussed in the team.
