The name of the tavern refers to the surname of the Manciana family, which was the daughter of the grandmother Agnese, who has been a native since the 1950s. She had resumed the activity of her mother Giuditta who had begun in the 1930s. From 1970 to today his daughter Piera contributed, first to the management and after the management of the tavern, cooking for thousands of customers, hosting every advent always with a smile on the lips. Famous remains undoubtedly “the bone hole with polenta of Piera”, dish and recipe that remain secret and are now reported for four generations.

Now with the renovation in place, Simona (now Piera), resumes the witness in the management of the Manciana, maintaining the fil-rouge and traditions that over the years have characterized this historical tavern of the region Valle di Muggio and Monte Generoso.

The tavern from 2021 can offer its patrons a large hall for 40 people and for c/a 15 people the two terraces, of which a new one overlooking the valley.
